[Remote] Senior Solutions Architect, AI/HPC Networking

The Senior Solutions Architect will provide technical leadership, support engagements with customers, and architect solutions for AI and HPC networking needs. Responsibilities • Provide technical leadership and support engagements with new and existing customers and partners • Partner with Sales Account Managers and SDRs to identify and secure business opportunities for DriveNets products and solutions • Proactively partner with Drivenets Account Managers to understand and solve customer challenges, conduct whiteboard network architectural sessions, and Drivenets product presentations • Assist in developing sales strategies and proposals • Create awareness and drive preference for Drivenets products & solutions with our customers and channel partners • Build meaningful relationships with technical decision-makers • Influence at the client’s executive level (VP, CxO) on the proposed solution and relevant execution approach/strategy in line with the business priorities and timeline • Architect, design, and propose Drivenets Data Center, Routing & Switching network solutions to help generate new or additional sales • Create design guidelines and recommend improvements to customers for the networks and AI/HPC workloads they support • Analyze and develop solutions for customer performance issues for both AI workload and systems performance • Interpret the client’s business needs and their translation to technology/architecture, assess full requirements, identify suitable solutions, and develop a transition/evolution strategy • Be the go-to technical resource for customers building sophisticated AI infrastructure and helping them understand performance characteristics for solutions • Lead technical responses to RFP/RFQs • Lead and guide the technical internal infrastructure services team in planning and executing POCs, as well as delivery and deployment, following the solution/design, scope of work, and completion target • Lead customer feature requests from customer requirements to implementation to deployment, working with Drivenets’ Product Management team and development teams, and provide customer feedback to Product Management and Development teams • Represent Drivenets at industry events and conferences • Author white papers, blogs, and articles on technology and products Skills • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or other Engineering fields, or equivalent experience • 7+ years of network engineering (system/solution) experience • 7+ years of solution architecture/sales engineering experience, or equivalent, working for a vendor, value-added reseller, or system integrator • Technical expertise in Data Center or high-end enterprise network design (e.g. BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, QoS, Multicast) • Expertise with datacenter design, including networking, compute, and storage • Ability to write extensive technical content (white papers, technical briefs, etc.) for external audiences with a balance of technical accuracy, strategy, and clear messaging • Ability to multitask efficiently in a multifaceted environment, ability to work with teams across geographical locations • Clear written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with executives and engineering teams • Ability to travel domestic and international up to 20% of the time • Be Kind! • Familiarity with AI-relevant data center infrastructure and networking technologies such as: Infiniband, RoCEv2, lossless Ethernet technologies (PFC, ECN, etc), accelerated computing, GPU, NIC, DPU, etc • Understanding of AI/HPC networking infrastructure solutions, their advantages and disadvantages (AI/HPC networking design, high-speed interconnect technologies) • Scale-up – NVLink, UALink, etc • Scale-out – Ethernet and Enhanced Ethernet (Scheduled Ethernet, dynamic load balancing and adaptive routing, Spectrum-X, UEC, etc), InfiniBand • Backend storage connectivity • Understanding of data center operations fundamentals in networking, cooling, and power • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) and Telemetry (gRPC, gNMI, OTLP, etc) • Proven experience with one or more Tier-1 Clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI) or emerging Neoclouds, as well as cloud-native architectures and software Company Overview • DriveNets is a networking company that provides software-based routing solutions.
