Job Summary
We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Math Instructor / Tutor to join our team in Oklahoma City. As a remote opportunity, this position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while still being part of a dynamic and supportive team. As a Math Instructor / Tutor, you'll play a critical role in delivering individualized instruction to students in a group setting, assessing their learning progress, and communicating with parents and guardians.
Key Responsibilities
As a Math Instructor / Tutor at Mathnasium, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading, coaching, and collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality instruction
- Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
- Communicating student progress with parents and guardians
- Teaching/tutoring in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
- Becoming proficient with digital educational materials and processes
- Supporting the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
- Assisting with administrative tasks as needed
Essential Qualifications
To be successful as a Math Instructor / Tutor at Mathnasium, you'll need:
- A passion for math and working with students
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members
- Eagerness to learn and be trained on the Mathnasium Method and teaching methodologies
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
- The ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring math
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools
- Experience working with students in grades 2-12
