Job Overview
In this role, you will work directly with customers to capture business and user requirements, communicating those requirements to the platform team. Your expertise will be instrumental in defining detailed stories and epics, with applicable acceptance criteria, in collaboration with product owners and the development team. You will facilitate meetings with internal technical and operational teams, author content, and peer-review a wide array of documents, including functional, technical, training, as well as planning and roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead meetings with system owners and customers to gather business requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for business processes, accurately translating them into functional and technical requirements for the development team.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to understand complex business problems and opportunities, recommending solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
- Facilitate technical discussions, anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and issues within an information technology environment, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Manage stakeholders, collect requirements, and design solutions to meet business process and application requirements, leveraging your expertise in ServiceNow development capabilities.
- Conduct industry, competitive, and State analyses, develop business cases, and perform market research for benchmarking, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
- Translate technical complexities to business owners, driving solutions that meet their needs and expectations.
- Work as part of an integrated project team, leveraging Agile and Scrum methodologies, supporting user story creation, sprint planning, and overseeing the tasks of the development team.
- Develop procedures, manuals, and other documentation for the systems developed, based on the requirements gathered, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuity.
- Maintain project plans, resourcing schedules, and forecasted activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
- Capture and document current or new business products, recommending improvements and efficiencies, and work individually and within a team setting to deliver requirements on time and within scope.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting, effectively responding to inquiries, and support required system go-live activities, including conversion, support desk, site support, training delivery, logistics management, etc.
- Support change management and communications programs and activities, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Perform PMO activities related to project time tracking, create and maintain issue logs, schedule meetings, take meeting minutes, work plan updates, status reporting, service metric reporting, and related project administration tasks.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Proven ServiceNow implementation experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in web applications, networks, protocols, and email (SMTP, POP3).
- A basic understanding of ITIL v3 methodologies and enterprise IT architecture, with at least 3 years of experience in working knowledge of relational databases.
- Experience with web technologies (XML, HTML, JAVA Script, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, etc.), with a minimum of 3 years of experience in impeccable time-management and record keeping.
- The ability to take complex end-user requirements to code, with at least 5 years of experience in a positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- A strong personal commitment to quality service, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and with a team.
- LDAP directories experience, such as Active Directory, eDirectory, OpenLDAP, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in IT service management, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
