Key Responsibilities
As a Guest Teacher with Scoot Education, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality educational instruction to students in a variety of subjects, including Kinder, Early Years, Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, High, SpEd, and Special Ed
- Creating and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs
- Building strong relationships with students, colleagues, and school administrators
- Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you'll need:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
- Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
- Background check (we'll cover the cost of this)
- A passion for education and a commitment to putting students first
- An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Teaching experience in a variety of subjects, including Math, Science, STEM, English, ELA, History, Social Studies, PE, Music, Art, Drama, and Theater Studies
- Experience working with students with diverse needs, including IEPs and special education
- Familiarity with trauma-informed teaching practices and classroom management strategies
