We're now seeking an experienced and charismatic Front Desk Agent to join our team on the PM shift, providing top-notch service to our discerning guests and contributing to the success of our hotel.
About the Role: Front Desk Agent/CLERK
As a Front Desk Agent/CLERK, you will be the face of our hotel, responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences from check-in to check-out. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our guests feel valued, supported, and cared for throughout their stay. You'll be the primary point of contact for our guests, handling a range of tasks, from registering guests and managing reservations to providing concierge services and resolving any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet and register guests, provide outstanding service during their stay, and settle their accounts upon completion.
- Reservations and Room Management: Make and modify reservations, assign rooms, and accommodate special requests whenever possible.
- Concierge and Operator Duties: Handle switchboard operations, provide concierge services, and ensure that guests have a seamless experience.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records, process transactions, and generate reports as required.
- Communication and Teamwork: Establish a good working relationship with guests and other personnel, cooperating with staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and capable of problem-solving to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
- Operational Tasks: Keep the front desk area clean, tidy, and clutter-free, and ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Technology and Systems: Operate the hotel's computer system, fax machine, photocopier, and security systems efficiently.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a front desk or customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills, including Word and Excel, with the ability to learn other programs.
- Communication and Customer Service: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a positive and effective customer service attitude.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk, and listen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in a front desk or reception role.
- Knowledge of Hotel Operations: Familiarity with hotel operations, including room types, rates, and services.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, problem-solve, and adapt to changing situations.

Schedule and Work Location:
This is a full-time role, working an 8-hour shift on the PM shift, Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed. You'll be based at our hotel, working in person to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
