As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering high-quality extracurricular programs for students from early childhood to twelfth grade, while fostering a sense of community and generating additional revenue for the School.

Key Responsibilities
- After School Program Leadership
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with students, staff, and families to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Provide guidance and support to students and staff throughout programs, addressing needs and concerns as they arise.
- Monitor staff assignments and rearrange support staff as needed to ensure seamless program delivery.
- Liaise with the Health Center, Director, and parents regarding student injuries, illnesses, or behavioral concerns, ensuring prompt and effective responses.
- Safely and efficiently facilitate the end-of-day student dismissal, ensuring a smooth transition for students and staff.
- Coordination and Planning
- Assist the Director with planning programming and logistics for all auxiliary programs, including afterschool, summer camps, childcare, and tutoring.
- Design, build, launch, and maintain online registration platforms, ensuring a user-friendly experience for families.
- Support staff recruitment and onboarding, ensuring that all staff members are equipped to deliver high-quality programs.
- Maintain accurate databases and operational information for Newman Plus programs using Campbrain, Microsoft 360, and Google Suite platforms.
- Collaborate with the Business Office on financial reconciliation between CampBrain and financial platforms, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Operational Management
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of after-school and childcare programs, including attendance, staff supervision, schedule coordination, and daily preparations.
- Provide operational support for all summer programs, as determined by the Director, ensuring successful program delivery.
- Liaise and collaborate with other divisions and departments to optimize facility usage and resource allocation.
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient Newman Plus Office, ensuring a productive working environment for the team.
- Newman Plus Support
- Monitor supply requests and inventory, preparing supply orders for approval to ensure program continuity.
- Support the Newman Plus Director and Store Manager with store and concessions operations, as needed.
- Ensure that all facilities are reset and equipment is returned and stored appropriately at the end of each day.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree (preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of childcare experience (required).
- 1 year of supervisory experience (preferred), with a proven track record of effective leadership and team management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
- A growth mindset, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- The ability to lift up to 30 pounds, with motions including climbing stairs, walking, squatting, and kneeling.
- A strong understanding of child development principles and practices, with a focus on creating engaging and inclusive programs.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Experience with program planning and coordination, including logistics and budgeting.
- Familiarity with Campbrain, Microsoft 360, and Google Suite platforms, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to respond to emerging situations and priorities.
