Description
Agile Fleet, Inc is a leading provider of fleet and motor pool management software that helps organizations improve vehicle utilization, reduce costs, and streamline operations. Our platform supports federal agencies, state and local governments, higher education institutions, and utilities across North America.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Account Executive – Public Sector to drive new business within this market. This role is ideal for a high-performing hunter who thrives in complex B2B SaaS sales environments and is passionate about helping organizations modernize fleet operations.
Position Overview
The Account Executive will be responsible for generating new business, managing complex sales cycles, and building strong relationships across public sector organizations. This is a quota-carrying role focused on new logo acquisition and strategic expansion opportunities within an assigned territory.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic self-starter with an outstanding work ethic, strong business acumen, and a team-first mindset. This individual is energized by building pipeline, navigating complex procurement processes, and closing strategic deals.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities within federal, state, and local government, higher education, and utilities
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial outreach through contract execution
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting, networking, and industry engagement
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and clearly articulate the value of Agile Fleet’s platform
- Develop relationships with executive sponsors, operational leaders, and procurement stakeholders
- Navigate public sector procurement processes, including RFPs, contracts, and vendor approvals
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and activity tracking within CRM systems
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to drive revenue growth and ensure successful customer outcomes
- Represent Agile Fleet at industry conferences, trade shows, and events
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5–8 years of B2B SaaS sales experience in a quota-carrying role
- Proven success selling into public sector organizations
- Demonstrated hunter mentality with a strong track record of generating pipeline and closing new business
- Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Team player with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling fleet management, transportation, mobility, or government technology solutions
- Familiarity with federal, state, or municipal procurement processes
- Existing relationships within fleet, transportation, or government operations departments
Compensation
- Base Salary: $130,000 – $150,000
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $200,000+
- Commission: Uncapped earning potential
