Job summary: The Variable Compensation Analyst plays a key role in designing, administering, and analyzing variable compensation programs, including bonuses, commissions, and incentive plans. This role ensures programs align with firm objectives, comply with plan guidelines, and remain competitive in the market. You'll also support the development and rollout of special programs and enhancements to commission or incentive plans. Essential Responsibilities: • Administer Programs: Manage variable compensation structures across departments (growth, practice areas, and teams). • Maintain Documentation: Ensure individual and firmwide plan documents are accurate, signed, and properly archived. • Roll Out Plans: Partner with HR and communication teams to launch programs and commission plans effectively. • Analyze & Calculate: Review performance metrics and financial data to calculate incentive payouts accurately and on time, following approval workflows and payroll deadlines. • Benchmark & Advise: Conduct market and internal equity analyses to guide compensation decisions. • Report & Communicate: Prepare dashboards and reports to share outcomes and trends with stakeholders. • Innovate & Improve: Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities; participate in technology enablement initiatives. • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. • Support Planning: Assist with annual compensation cycles and ad hoc incentive modeling. • Educate & Guide: Provide training and guidance to leaders and associates on variable pay programs. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field. Experience: • 3-5 years in compensation analysis, with a focus on variable pay. • Familiarity with sales compensation or commission-based structures. • Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation. Preferred: CCP certification. Skills: • Advanced Excel and data analysis tools. • Strong understanding of compensation principles and regulatory considerations. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data. Key Competencies: • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. • Adaptability and creativity in navigating ambiguity. • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. The estimated base pay range for this role is $66,000 - $89,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
