About the Role We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Customer Success Architect to join our Customer Success and Professional Services team. As a Senior Customer Success Architect at blithequark, you will play a critical role in helping our customers leverage streaming architectures and applications to achieve their business objectives. You will work closely with customers to provide software architecture, design, and operations expertise, leveraging your deep knowledge of Apache Kafka, the blithequark platform, and complementary systems such as Hadoop, Spark, Storm, relational and NoSQL databases. Key Responsibilities Help customers determine their platform and/or application strategy for moving to a more real-time, event-based business, involving remote preparation, presenting onsite or remote workshops, investigating solutions to difficult challenges, and writing recommendations summary documents. Provide feedback to the blithequark Product and Engineering groups to help shape our product roadmap and improve our solutions. Build tooling for other teams or the wider company to help us push our technical boundaries and improve our ability to deliver consistently with high quality. Test the performance and functionality of new components developed by Engineering to ensure they meet our high standards. Write or edit documentation and knowledge base articles, including reference architecture materials and design patterns based on customer experiences. Hone your skills, build applications, or try out new product features to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends. Participate in community and industry events to share your expertise, learn from others, and help promote the blithequark brand. What You Will Bring To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a unique combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities. These include: Deep experience designing, building, and operating in-production Big Data, stream processing, and/or enterprise data integration solutions, ideally using Apache Kafka. Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple B2B infrastructure software development projects, including driving expansion, customer satisfaction, feature adoption, and retention. Experience operating Linux (configure, tune, and troubleshoot both RedHat and Debian-based distributions) and using cloud providers (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) for running high-throughput systems. Experience with Java Virtual Machine (JVM) tuning and troubleshooting, as well as distributed systems (Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc.). A strong desire to tackle hard technical problems, and a proven ability to do so with little or no direct daily supervision. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain tricky issues and complex solutions. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements and priorities. Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to meet with customers and promote the blithequark brand.
