The role involves performing environmental assessments, supporting sustainable event management, and implementing sustainability programs at client events.
Responsibilities
- Support sustainability evaluations and solutions with a focus on materials management at events, greenhouse gas emissions, life cycle assessments, impact reduction strategies
- Support sustainability assessments and implementation programs. Support final reports, including environmental, social, and economic analysis
- Research and implement sustainable event management procedures and impact reduction strategies
- Support project managers with on-site program implementation at stadiums and events
- Integrate social sustainability priorities into emissions management strategies
- Promote culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are properly trained to perform assigned duties and comply with safety, environmental, federal, state, and local regulations
- Self-educate on current sustainability topics, issues, and trends
- Responsible for organizing and interpreting data
- Travel up to 50%
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Sustainability, or Business
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience
- 1 year of relevant work experience in project/business management. Environmental experience is required (in addition to education requirement)
