We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Law Enforcement professional to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty member, teaching online courses in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. As a faculty member, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students, helping them grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

Position Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom
  • Adhering to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes
  • Responding to students' questions and emails within established timeframes
  • Providing a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission
  • Course Teaching Opportunities:

    You will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses, including:

    • Communication in Law Enforcement (a writing-intensive course covering effective communication skills)
    • Introduction to Law Enforcement
    • Policing
    • Criminal Procedure in Law Enforcement
    • Ethics in Leadership
    • Law Enforcement Capstone

    Requirements:

    To be considered for this role, you must have:

    • Professional or teaching experience in Law Enforcement or a related field
    • A PhD in Justice Studies or Criminal Justice, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Justice Studies or Criminal Justice
    • 3 years of experience as a peace officer (or equivalent experience)
