Parent Student Advocate Opportunity in Ocotillo, CA - Make a Difference in the Lives of Students and Families

As a Parent Student Advocate, you will work closely with parents, teachers, and school administrators to provide support and resources, helping to bridge the gap between home and school.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the Title I parent involvement component, providing community resource information and referrals, and serving as a liaison between home and school. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build effective relationships with school staff, parents, and the community, making a lasting difference in the lives of students and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and implement the Title I parent involvement component to promote parent engagement and student success
• Provide community resource information and referrals to meet the basic needs of students and their families
• Serve as a liaison between home and school, communicating with parents, teachers, and school administrators
• Assist in promoting and communicating attendance policies and academic expectations
• Coordinate volunteer efforts and facilitate school events and Title I parent training workshops
• Maintain documentation on parent meetings and workshops
• Assist parents and students with navigating the school system, including PowerSchool Parent Portal and Special Education services

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Arizona driver's license
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in an indoor environment with frequent sitting, standing, bending, and lifting up to 15 pounds
