American Tall is a thriving e-commerce brand dedicated to producing high-quality clothing for tall men and women. They are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support financial planning, operational finance, and accounting processes while partnering with various teams to provide financial insights and assist with month-end close and vendor payment processes.
Responsibilities
- Support the monthly financial close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reporting packages
- Analyze variances versus budget and prior periods and provide explanations to leadership
- Work with businesses to ensure revenue, returns, fulfillment, and marketing expenses are accurately recorded
- Develop weekly and monthly business/vendor performance reports
- Prepare executive presentations summarizing financial performance and business drivers
- Assist with Accounts Payable management, including payment scheduling and vendor inquiries
- Review and process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and approval workflows
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Perform ad-hoc analysis
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- At least 1-2 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods
- Familiarity with accounting principles and month-end close processes; experience with Quickbooks is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Skill in organization, analysis, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with performance metrics and warehouse management systems
