About the Role
The Student Success Coach position at blithequark is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and customer service to make a positive impact on the lives of our students. As a Student Success Coach, you will be responsible for providing personalized support and guidance to a group of assigned students, empowering them to achieve academic excellence and reach their full potential. This role involves working from the comfort of your own home office, with a set schedule during our hours of operation, which include Monday through Thursday from 8am to 7pm CDT, and Friday and Saturday from 8am to 5pm CDT.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional support and guidance to students throughout their educational program, ensuring a high-quality learning experience and fostering academic success.
- Manage a caseload of assigned students, proactively reaching out to coach and mentor them through their degree program.
- Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for academic success.
- Create a safe and trusted environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests.
- Offer guidance and instruction on how to utilize available resources to maximize student success.
- Become a certified resume reviewer, providing expert resume and career development support to students.
- Serve as a liaison between students and various departments, ensuring seamless communication and support.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, as well as at least two years of experience in academic support, admissions, customer service, human resources, or counseling. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of academic policies and procedures, excellent communication and listening skills, and the ability to learn technical skills quickly.
