About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our Bookkeeping team, where you will play a key role in driving process improvements and ensuring accurate reporting of working costs. As a Senior GL Accountant, you will work closely with our Senior Accounting Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger
- Be a key owner of the monthly close process for assigned regions and entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Maintain financial records in accordance with US GAAP and consolidated financial statements, using accepted methodologies
- Assist with providing audit support to external auditors on annual audits and quarterly reviews
- Communicate with FP&A, operational partners, and external parties regarding significant accounting matters
- Conduct ad-hoc investigations and projects to drive process improvement initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a CPA certification being a plus
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SOX/internal controls
- Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, and GSuite is preferred, but not required
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong business acumen, process-oriented, and data-driven, with a high degree of attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets
