About the Role: Delivering First-Class Customer Service
The Member Support Experience Agent is a critical role within our organization, serving as one of the primary points of contact for our members. This position is integral to our service delivery model, requiring skilled communicators who can provide clear, accurate, and detailed information about our health insurance programs. As a Member Support Experience Agent at blithequark, you will be responsible for responding to member inquiries via phone and email, troubleshooting issues with patience and professionalism, and ensuring a positive experience for every interaction.
Key Responsibilities: Providing Exceptional Support
- Respond to member, broker partner, and client inquiries via phone and our proprietary email ticketing system, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills while helping members navigate their medical benefit offerings and addressing their concerns.
- Guide members through insurance forms, such as Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs) and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Collaborate with medical carriers, pharmacies, and service provider billing and claims departments to resolve member issues efficiently.
- Develop expertise in blithequark's programs, including core products and additional benefits, such as the Durable Medical Equipment program and Claims process.
- De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied members by offering patient, empathetic, and skilled support, turning negative experiences into positive outcomes.
- Maintain customer satisfaction at the core of every decision and task, striving to exceed member expectations.
- Build relationships and engage members by going the extra mile on every call, fostering a sense of trust and loyalty.
- Adhere to blithequark guidelines, policies, and processes, as well as strict observance of HIPAA regulations and client confidentiality agreements.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Report on member and client trends and feedback, providing insights that inform our continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements: The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role within a call center environment in the health insurance/healthcare industry.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a remote environment, with a proven track record of productivity and effectiveness.
- The ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements with a positive and confident attitude, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
- Critical thinking and intuitive problem-solving abilities, with a talent for creative and effective solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.
- Expertise in customer service, with a customer-first approach and a passion for delivering exceptional support.
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, management, and clients, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency with Google Suite products (or equivalents), with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
- Familiarity with medical insurance and medical benefits, with a willingness to develop deeper knowledge and expertise.
