About the Role
As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the primary point of contact for patients seeking care and support. You'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling a high volume of incoming calls, emails, and chat messages while providing empathetic and personalized service to our patients. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our patients receive the care and attention they need, and that they're able to navigate our healthcare services with ease.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls, emails, and chat messages in a timely and professional manner, using established service standards and communication scripts to provide exceptional customer service.
- Act as a Brand Ambassador for blithequark, nurturing and building long-lasting relationships with patients through trust, empathy, and comprehensive customer service.
- Determine the best course of action for each patient inquiry, taking necessary steps to resolve issues and convert calls to scheduled appointments for blithequark clinics.
- Review insurance eligibility for applicable callers when scheduling appointments and communicate with the virtual benefits team to verify eligibility as needed.
- Verify that all patient information is accurate and up-to-date at each contact point, maintaining strict patient confidentiality at all times.
- Contact and schedule referral patients with high levels of comprehensive customer service, following up with referral partners as necessary to maintain positive relationships and efficient patient information transfer.
- Document the results of patient contacts in our patient management system and shared tracking files.
- Direct non-patient care-related communications to the appropriate person or department.
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred, but not required.
- 1+ year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and provide personalized support.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex patient issues.
- Proficiency in using customer service software and technology, including phone, email, and chat systems.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple patient inquiries simultaneously.

Work Schedule and Environment
As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll work a schedule that includes:
- Monday to Friday, 6:00am-6:00pm PST.
- Saturday, 8:00am-4:00pm PST (one Saturday per month).
