Job Overview: Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Manager
We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Manager to join our Global Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Sustainability team. This role is not just about numbers; it's about telling the story behind them and driving business decisions with data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Forecasting: Develop and communicate planning and forecasting models, operational analysis, and executive reviews for Actuals, Business Plan, Commitment View, and Best View for VZ GSSCS.
- Business Partnering: Serve as a functional specialist to GSSCS business partners, providing strategic guidance and insights during the analysis process.
- Financial Insights and Analysis: Provide value-added decision support and guidance to business partners, utilizing recurring performance reports, ad-hoc analysis, and performance reviews.
- Operational Analysis: Evaluate distribution center performance and metrics, identify areas for improvement, and recommend action plans.
- Strategic Initiatives: Partner on strategic initiatives, manage operational and capital expenses, and collaborate with the Center of Excellence to establish service level agreements and drive continuous improvements.
- Business Performance Analysis: Evaluate business trends, assess monthly and quarterly business performance, and provide strategic financial and operational insights.
- Risk and Opportunity Assessment: Advise on risk and opportunity considerations for managing cost and profitability, and recommend planning and business performance issues to define and execute action plans.
- Process Improvement: Design, develop, and implement methods and strategies to continually improve processes, and provide decision support and guidance to all levels of the business.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Relevant Experience: Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications

- Master's Degree: A Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
- Professional Certification: A professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
- Advanced Analytical Capability: A high degree of analytical capability with the proven ability to structure business cases around a high-level strategic vision.
- Strategic Skills: Strong strategic skills, with the proven ability to identify and assess key points, implications, and recommendations.
- Corporate Financial Planning: An advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes.
- Financial Statement Analysis: Demonstrated in-depth understanding of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance.
- Leadership Experience: Experience leading large and complex team projects with minimal direct supervision.
