The Expedited Operations Representative Role
We are seeking an experienced Expedited Operations Representative to join our team in Houston, TX, working on a night shift in a remote setting. As an Expedited Operations Representative, you will be responsible for planning carrier capacity, order management, negotiations with vendors, customer relationship management, price negotiation, and other dispatcher functions utilizing a modern Transportation Management System (TMS). Key Responsibilities
- Work remotely on a night shift, ensuring seamless operations and efficient communication with drivers and customers.
- Load and route planning to optimize carrier capacity and ensure timely delivery of shipments.
- Inbound order processing, including coordinating and assigning drivers to specific routes and loads based on availability, proximity, and customer requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and any necessary information related to their routes.
- Monitor driver progress and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery, addressing any potential issues or delays in a proactive and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including driver assignments, route details, and any relevant information.

- Proven experience as an open deck/heavy haul dispatcher, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and team members.
