**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team at arenaflex. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a critical role in the development and support of our cloud-based data pipelines, working closely with our data scientists, engineers, and analysts to design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure. You'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of our data pipelines, and for developing and implementing new data solutions to meet the evolving needs of our business.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
* Designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines using a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, and GitLab
* Developing and implementing data solutions to meet the evolving needs of our business, including data warehousing, data governance, and data quality
* Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to design and implement data-driven solutions
* Ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of our data pipelines
* Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues and errors
* Developing and maintaining documentation and knowledge base for data pipelines and solutions
* Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and business outcomes
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong knowledge of SQL (primarily Snowflake and PostgreSQL) and Python
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
* Experience with containerization using Docker
* Experience with source control using GitLab or GitHub
* Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
* Proficiency in cloud design and product development, ideally using AWS
* Experience overseeing and delivering code using a source control item like GitLab/GitHub
* Experience using Docker and containerization
* Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
