As a Customer Service Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that customers' orders and enquiries are handled efficiently and effectively, contributing to the company's continued success.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Advisor, your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that all customer interactions are handled professionally and to a high standard. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Taking inbound calls from customers, responding to their queries, and resolving any issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Providing quotations and processing orders, ensuring that all customer requirements are met.
- Operating and maintaining spreadsheets to track customer interactions, orders, and other relevant data.
- Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Producing weekly reports to monitor customer service performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Raising contracts and discussing with customers to ensure that all agreements are clear and understood.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record in a customer-focused environment, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume call centre setting. Experience in the hire industry is advantageous but not essential. You will also need to possess:
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize your workload to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and be highly organized to ensure that all customer interactions are handled efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure clear and concise communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient skills in MS Office packages, including Excel and Word, to maintain accurate records and produce reports.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be based in the Glasgow Head Office, working Monday to Friday shifts on a rotational basis between the hours of 8.45am - 5.30pm.
