**Responsibilities**
As a Customer Field Operations Crew Member II at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:
* Operating heavy equipment, such as backhoes, trenchers, cranes, and jackhammers
* Making taps and fusing plastic pipe
* Performing routine maintenance on equipment
* Setting up for jobs and ensuring that all necessary tools and equipment are available
* Installing leak clamps and performing site excavation
* Cutting, threading, and re-wrapping pipes
* Performing traffic control and locating pipelines
* Assisting with purges and retiring services
* Changing stop-cocks and relocating service lines
* Performing other duties as assigned and required
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:
* A valid Class A CDL
* A high school diploma or equivalent
* Three or more years of experience in excavations, operating backhoes and excavators
* Advanced knowledge and use of construction tools and equipment
* Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand tools
* Effective interpersonal skills and safety awareness
* Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and to lift up to 100 pounds
* Manual dexterity and keen eyesight
* Good hearing and a good sense of smell
* Ability to use SCBA when responding to gas leaks
* Weekend and evening work as required, with the possibility of extended working hours and call-out and emergency response
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
* Three or more years of experience in pipeline installation and maintenance
* Completion of an accredited training program in pipeline installation and maintenance
* Commercial driver's license (CDL) required
* Prior related experience or completion of an accredited training program
* Travel requirements of 5-15%
