Position Overview
The Bilingual Customer Service Representative will be responsible for receiving inbound calls from child support client stakeholders, categorizing calls, and recording any abusive and/or extraordinary calls. The ideal candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a general understanding of policies and procedures. As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, with a quiet and distraction-free workspace, reliable high-speed internet connection, and a smartphone for user authentication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to inbound calls from child support client stakeholders in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contractual obligations
- Categorize all calls received in one of the categories provided
- Record any abusive and/or extraordinary calls
- Maintain a general understanding of policies and procedures
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Have at least one year of prior experience in an area of service delivery, customer service, call center technology, or related field
- Be proficient in data entry skills, including keyboard, mouse, and 10-key pad
- Be able to type a minimum of 35 WPM (a typing test will be administered during the interview process)
- Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Be fluent in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Experience with remote work or virtual teams
