We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Graduate Nurse to join our team at Canonsburg Hospital, where you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of healthcare professionals who share a passion for providing top-notch care to our patients.
As a Graduate Nurse at Canonsburg Hospital, you will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for the age-appropriate population. You will also be expected to initiate interdisciplinary plans of care based on assessment findings and physician orders, complete patient documentation in a comprehensive manner, and promote communication between caregivers.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have completed an RN training program and have PA RN licensure or have applied for a practice permit. You must also have CPR Certification that meets American Heart Association Guidelines. All new Graduate Nurses are enrolled into the Allegheny Health Network, Nurse Residency Program, which is a paid, 1-year program that includes 4 hours/month away from the bedside, based on 3 core curriculum areas: Leadership, Patient Safety, and Professional Role.
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You must also be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care, with a focus on patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes. Additionally, you should have a strong foundation in nursing principles, practices, and techniques, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
