Position Overview
This full‑time, remote‑compatible role is based in Black Mountain, NC (or surrounding areas) and offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $20 per hour with opportunities to earn up to $4,000 in performance‑based incentives over a twelve‑month period. You will provide one‑on‑one, in‑home ABA therapy under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Shifts are flexible and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or after‑school hours to best accommodate the families you serve.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver Direct ABA Therapy: Conduct 1:1 in‑home sessions, implementing individualized treatment plans that target skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and social communication.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Record accurate, real‑time data on client responses, skill mastery, and behavioral incidents using digital tools; share findings with the supervising BCBA for ongoing program refinement.
- Implement Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET): Apply evidence‑based teaching procedures, reinforce desired behaviors, and adjust prompts based on client performance.
- Collaborate with the BCBA Team: Attend weekly supervision meetings, discuss progress, troubleshoot challenges, and co‑create strategies that align with each client’s goals.
- Engage Families and Caregivers: Provide clear explanations of therapeutic techniques, model interventions for parents, and offer constructive feedback to promote consistency across settings.
- Maintain Professionalism: Arrive punctually, prepare all materials in advance, and uphold confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and state regulations.
- Physical & Environmental Adaptability: Safely maneuver in diverse home environments, lift up to 35 lbs, and respond quickly to emergent behaviors within a 100‑foot radius.

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of direct 1:1 experience working with children on the autism spectrum in a home or school setting.
- Demonstrated familiarity with ABA principles, including data collection, prompting hierarchies, and reinforcement strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Reliable personal transportation and a clean driving record.
- Physical capability to lift up to 35 lbs, kneel, squat, and move quickly in response to client needs.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate family schedules.
Preferred (But Not Mandatory) Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Experience with Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans (CBIP) or other evidence‑based therapeutic models.
- Previous roles as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, or similar positions.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital data‑entry systems.
