RepresentWomen is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Fellow to support our growing communications efforts. This role is ideal for an early-career professional passionate about gender equity and democracy reform, with a strong mix of writing, digital media, and design skills. The Fellow will play a key role in expanding our digital presence, engaging new audiences, and amplifying our research, campaigns, and partnerships across multiple platforms. Description RepresentWomen is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Fellow to support our growing communications efforts. This role is ideal for an early-career professional passionate about gender equity and democracy reform, with a strong mix of writing, digital media, and design skills. The Fellow will play a key role in expanding our digital presence, engaging new audiences, and amplifying our research, campaigns, and partnerships across multiple platforms. Fellowship Terms - 9 months, extension possible - Full-time employee - Benefits eligible - Remote, DMV area preferred - Work Hours: 9:30-5:30 pm ET - Must be located in the United States - $25/hour Experience Level/Education - Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Communications, Public Policy, or Social Media Management. - 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in communications, digital media, social media management, or a related field. - Demonstrated experience in graphic design, with the ability to create engaging, on-brand visual content. - Proficiency in website management platforms such as Webflow, with the ability to update and maintain web content. - Experience using social media management tools, including Sprout Social, to schedule content, track performance, and manage engagement. - Strong working knowledge of design tools such as Canva and data visualization platforms like Infogram. - Familiarity with project management systems such as ClickUp to organize tasks, manage workflows, and collaborate with team members. Content Development & Copywriting - Drafting occasional email content for my review, including newsletters, announcements, and campaign emails - Writing one or two SEO-optimized blog posts a month to increase digital visibility and engagement - Drafting social media copy (captions, hashtags, links, CTAs) across platforms - Assisting with formatting and light editing of long-form content (reports, testimony, explainers, etc.) Graphic Design & Visual Content - Create branded graphics using existing templates and assets, including: - Quote cards - Data/stat visuals - Carousels - Event and campaign graphics - Produce 8–10 custom graphics per month that require more original design work Video & Audio Content Production - Edit short-form video clips from existing recordings  - Create audio clips and audiograms for social sharing - Produce up to 4 original multimedia pieces per month, including: - Highlight reels - Thematic compilations - Short-form original content Social Media Publishing & Platform Management - Schedule 3–5 organic posts per week per platform - Respond to messages or posts that we are tagged in  - Research people to follow and engage with on social media  - Format and optimize content for each platform - Manage posting cadence across campaigns, events, and evergreen content Engagement & Partner Amplification on Social Media  - Engage with key partners and aligned organizations 2–3 times per week, including: - Comment - Repost - Amplify partner content - Support relationship-building and visibility across platforms - Fill gaps on non-posting days with engagement activity.
