ENTRUST Solutions Group is committed to innovation, quality, and collaboration in the utility and energy sectors. As a CAD Technician I, you will transform engineering concepts into precise technical drawings that support gas pipeline projects, collaborating closely with engineers and field teams.
Responsibilities
- Transform rough sketches or verbal instructions from engineers into detailed CAD drawings using tools like AutoCAD
- Draft structural details, plot profiles and cross-sections using topographical data, and support field survey crews by gathering measurements and data needed for drawing updates
- Calculate layouts, rights-of-way, and street dimensions, and design concrete and steel supports for both above-ground and underground pipeline systems
- Create both preliminary and final sketches, and generate as-built drawings to reflect the final state of the project after construction is complete
- Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or design coordinators and use survey data to produce contour and erosion control drawings
Skills
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Design and Drafting Technology or a related field
- Experience in utility or pipeline drafting is a plus
