This position is a development position for the Business Development Specialist role, involving a structured training program on commercial insurance, agency engagement, and territory management.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the structured underwriting training program
- Review and process endorsement requests and correspondence within established authority level
- Learn the Agency Engagement function through training
- Prepare for and participate in Agency Visits, Agency Outings, and Industry Events
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business related field, or equivalent education
- 0-1 years industry experience
- Willingness to travel up to 25% throughout our writing footprint
- Ability to operate a company vehicle and maintain an acceptable driving record
- Required to relocate to a business development territory (PA, NJ) after completion of training
- Participation in insurance industry course work preferred (AU, CIC, etc.)
