About the Role: Account Executive, Americas
As an Account Executive with Customer.io, you'll play a pivotal role in representing our brand to prospective customers and driving growth within key market segments. This is a full-cycle sales role, where you'll be responsible for prospecting, demoing, and closing deals. You'll work closely with our marketing team to field both inbound and outbound demand, leveraging your expertise to position our solutions effectively and drive customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound sales efforts, leveraging your network, and responding to inbound inquiries.
- Customer Acquisition: Conduct demos, presentations, and trials to showcase our solutions, addressing customer pain points and needs.
- Solution Selling: Position our customer communication and experience platform as a solution to drive customer growth, loyalty, and retention.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and providing tailored support.
- Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Market Insights: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform your sales strategy.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- B2B SaaS Experience: Proven success in new customer acquisition and closing deals within the B2B SaaS space, preferably in MarTech or a related field.
- Sales Methodology: Familiarity with MEDDPICC or a similar framework that supports consultative selling and discovery to close.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and engaging presence to build rapport with new prospects.
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to identify customer business needs and position relevant solutions effectively to drive acquisition.
- Location: Candidates must be located in the Americas (Canada or the USA) to be considered for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MarTech Experience: Experience working in the marketing technology or customer experience space.
- Sales Leadership: Experience in a sales leadership role, with a track record of success in managing and motivating sales teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the customer communication and experience platform space.
