Job Title: Data Governance Lead Boston Remote EST Role Overview: An experienced Data Governance Lead to drive the modernization and acceleration of data governance practices for our client. This onsite role will play a pivotal part in enabling scalable, automated, and AI-driven governance capabilities, working closely with cross-functional teams including the Data Office, Data Stewards, and technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices. Collaborate with business and technical teams to define and optimize governance processes. Oversee metadata management, data cataloging, and end-to-end data lineage using Informatica IDMC. Define and implement data quality rules, metrics, and monitoring mechanisms. Identify and drive automation and AI/GenAI-based accelerators to enhance governance efficiency. Facilitate workshops and working sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements and align on governance objectives. Ensure effective documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams. Track deliverables and support agile execution aligned with evolving priorities. Required Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles. Proven experience with Informatica IDMC, including metadata management, data catalog, and lineage capabilities. Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK). Experience with data quality tools, metadata standards, and data stewardship practices. Exposure to automation tools and AI/GenAI technologies in the context of data governance is a strong plus. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a hybrid team environment (onsite and offshore collaboration). Preferred Qualifications: Experience With Snowflake Or Other Cloud Data Platforms. Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
