Customer Sales Analyst, Kroger & Harris Teeter

The Customer Sales Analyst will support the growth of Vital Farms' grocery presence by managing sales operations, analytics, and customer interactions to enhance operational efficiency and drive business results. Responsibilities Monitor orders, fill rates, and forecast accuracy, escalating risks early to ensure high customer service levels Collaborate with supply chain & customer service teams to address out-of-stocks and improve operational efficiency Create & manage distributor orders for DSD divisions Develop weekly and/or monthly reports on sales, shopper marketing, distribution, and promotional effectiveness Leverage syndicated data (Circana) and retailer systems (84.51/Stratum) to uncover growth opportunities, deep dive category performance, and recommend action items based on insights Work closely with COE including Sr. Retail Insights team focused on creating customer centric solutions supporting Harris Teeter & Kroger Review, analyze, and resolve trade deductions in partnership with account managers, finance, and customers Track recurring deduction issues & recommend fixes that improve process to reduce future claims Update internal trade system to improve spend accuracy, stay on budget, maintain contract compliance as well as submit promotions in Kroger’s system Support the development of customer-facing presentations and, where appropriate, participate in meetings Assist with category reviews & joint business planning discussions to learn firsthand how retailers and brands collaborate Participate in internal sales meetings along with team scorecards & presentations Skills Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, marketing or other related fields 1–2 years of CPG experience in sales support, supply chain, trade deductions, finance, or analytics Ability to travel for customer & internal meetings, including training, etc. (anticipating 25% travel) Must be located or willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Cincinnati, OH Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail & ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage in cross-functional teamwork Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset — you're eager to learn the grocery/CPG industry and grow into a sales leadership role Alignment with Vital Farms' values: teamwork, accountability, and pride in building something meaningful Proven ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively Highly adaptable & resourceful You're no hero – You know the power of teamwork and celebrate the work of others before your own You give a sh*t – You believe in acting like an owner and making Vital Farms a place to be proud of You raise the standards – You know growth can be hard, but you strive to improve yourself and others each day You can walk in someone else's boots – You seek to understand other's viewpoints and think that you get to better answers by sitting on the same side of the table You don't walk on eggshells – You're not afraid to leave the bullsh*t behind and have honest conversations Experience with Kroger systems (Stratum/OnDemand/Market6, Acoustic/DemandTec) strongly preferred Exposure to syndicated data (IRI, Circana, Nielsen, SPINS) or retailer systems is helpful, but not required — willingness to learn is key Benefits Medical Dental Vision Paid Parental Leave Generous retirement contributions: 401(k) + 3% Contribution from Day 1.
