About the position Vanguard Workplace Solutions Vendor Management Office (VMO) is part of Workplace Solutions SPO (Strategy, Partnership and Operations) and manages critical 3rd Party Relationship with Infosys, Ascensus, Candidly, HealthEquity, and other critical vendors. We create organizational efficiencies by centralizing vendor oversight activities and enabling engagement leads to focus on product/service delivery for our clients. VMO is responsible to develop and execute vendor oversight, ensure TPRM policy compliance, support internal audit, facilitate zero-day events, and helps navigate incident management. Responsibilities • Establishes and maintains vendor relationships, helps negotiate favorable pricing in partnership with ESM, reports on vendor performance, reviews SOC reports, oversees vendor risk, manages incidents, and helps offboard if needed. • Leads the management of vendor relationships of moderate to high scope and complexity. • Maintains active and positive relationships with designated points of contact with key vendors in order to discuss, resolve, or escalate risk and performance related issues. • Leads the monitoring of post contract performance of the vendor based on performance across major risk domains and make change recommendations. • Conducts reviews of vendor invoices relative to their compliance with agreed contract terms prior to their release for payment. • Develops and maintains strong internal and external relationships in order to manage cross-departmental and cross-divisional projects and coordinates the resolution of operational problems and issues for assigned critical vendors. • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Requirements • Five years related work experience. • Three years' experience in vendor management preferred. • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. • Graduate degree preferred. • Experience with contracting and vendor lifecycle management required. • Strong project and change management experience. • A proven ability to manage cross-divisional projects a plus. • Executive presence and confidence presenting to senior-level stakeholders.
