VC Recruiter (Portfolio Value-add)

YZi Labs is seeking a proactive and well-connected Recruiter to support our deal sourcing and networking efforts. This role is pivotal in identifying and engaging top-tier founders, entrepreneurs, and technical talents within the startup ecosystem to fuel our investment pipeline. This position focuses on building strategic relationships, scouting promising ventures, and facilitating connections that drive high-quality deal flow. You will work closely with the investment team to uncover opportunities and expand YZi Labs’ network in key innovation sectors. Responsibilities Proactively source and identify promising startups, founders, and technical talents aligned with YZi Labs’ investment focus. Build and maintain a strong network within the venture capital, startup, and technology communities to support deal flow. Collaborate with the investment team to understand target profiles and market segments for effective sourcing. Attend industry events, conferences, and networking meetups to discover emerging opportunities and build relationships. Conduct initial outreach and engagement with potential portfolio companies and key ecosystem players. Support due diligence by gathering background information on founders and teams. Maintain and update a pipeline of high-potential startups and talents for investment consideration. Work cross-functionally with marketing and communications teams to amplify YZi Labs’ presence in the startup ecosystem. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in venture capital, startup scouting, business development, or ecosystem building. Strong network within the startup and venture capital communities, preferably in Web3, AI, biotech, or related sectors. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and authentically. Highly proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple relationships and pipelines simultaneously.
