In many ways, this role is still about teaching—you’ll be tutoring seniors to help them understand their healthcare, make informed decisions, and feel more confident managing their well-being. We’re looking for compassionate, resourceful problem solvers and natural educators to join our team as Health Guides. No healthcare experience required—we’ll teach you everything you need to know. This is a remote, mission-driven role where your communication skills, patience, and empathy will directly improve people’s lives. What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll support a group of clients over the phone. We’re looking for people who can: • Understand clients: Listen deeply and build trust with older adults who feel overwhelmed by the healthcare system. • Educate and empower: Help clients understand their Medicare benefits, care options, and local resources. • Solve problems: Assist seniors with real-world challenges—from finding affordable meals or transportation to understanding care programs that help them stay independent. When formal support isn’t available, we get creative: reaching out to churches, nonprofits, or community volunteers. • Collaborate: Work with doctors, insurers, and social service programs to ensure every client gets the help they need. Who You Are As a Health Guide, you’ll use the same skills that made you a great tutor—explaining complex ideas clearly, meeting people where they are, and motivating them to succeed. But now, you’ll apply those talents to help seniors overcome barriers to care and live healthier, more independent lives. Why tutors? You Might Be a Great Fit If You: • Are warm, empathetic, and great at explaining complex topics simply • Enjoy connecting with older adults and helping them feel understood • Are organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities • Have strong written and verbal communication skills • Are tech-savvy (comfortable with Google Docs, Sheets, and basic online tools) • Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment • Love problem-solving and learning on the go Note: This role involves speaking with clients over the phone for part of the day. Preferred Experience • Experience as a tutor, teacher, academic advisor, counselor, or coach • Bachelor’s degree • Interest or curiosity about Medicare, Medicaid, or senior services (we’ll train you!)
