Key Responsibilities Assist and guide active students throughout their program, ensuring timely completion of financial aid requirements and resolving any issues that may arise. Review financial aid applications for accuracy, package eligible aid, and ensure disbursement in a timely manner. Support students in managing additional financing options, including state aid, workforce agencies, employer payments, and VA benefits. Create payment arrangements on term balances to support campus cash collections and track completion of Exit Counseling. Provide continued support and education to students and their parents on topics related to Financial Aid, including Title IV Federal Financial Aid, eligibility, financial literacy, and loan repayment. Maintain confidentiality of students and student information, adhering to guidelines set by regulatory bodies such as FERPA and the Department of Education. Stay up-to-date with college policies, processes, and relevant accreditation and regulatory requirements. Essential Qualifications A minimum of a bachelor's degree, with equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional support to students. Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects while meeting deadlines. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to secure access to Department of Education websites. No prior history of student loan default. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Federal Financial Aid programs. Experience working with customer financial accounts.
