About the position Responsibilities • Coordinate all aspects of the Statewide System of Support (SSOS) for schools identified for support under federal accountability. • Encourage active involvement of internal and external partners to support continuous improvement. • Utilize state processes, platforms, and systems for continuous improvement in education. • Provide guidance and support to local education agencies in developing and implementing programs funded by federal or state resources. • Support MDE policy development on issues related to equitable educational experiences and school turnaround. Requirements • Master's degree or higher in a field of education, or a bachelor's degree with a major in education combined with a master's degree in a subject area, or a doctorate degree in education. • At least three years of administrative or consultative experience in K-12 or early childhood education. • Current or past Michigan teacher's certificate or a comparable certification. Nice-to-haves • Experience in continuous improvement processes at the school or district level. • Experience providing training or technical assistance to schools or districts. • Experience presenting to groups of 25 or more.
