Senior QA Analyst (Field Ops)

Location: 2727 N Central Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85004 United States of America We are seeking a professional Software QA Analyst to join the U-Haul Field Ops software development team and support our applications. This position is integral to the end-to-end software development lifecycle, focusing on test planning, test automation, and manual QA testing as appropriate. You will primarily be responsible for designing and executing test scenarios to ensure software usability, functionality, and performance. The position is with a team that develops and maintains a suite of tier one, mission critical enterprise applications and services used by numerous U-Haul business teams and thousands of U-Haul field locations. Every member of the team makes important contributions which have a direct and significant impact on U-Haul’s business operations. Your role will involve testing new features and functionality, proactively identifying issues, and researching root causes. You will provide your scrum team with clear and concise written documentation and problem descriptions when issues are encountered. A passion for creating quality software for our customers is essential! Experience with creating and maintaining automated user interface (UI) testing using Microsoft Playwright and C# is a plus. Job Description: • Work within an embedded Agile/Scrum team, collaborating with your team and stakeholders to ensure quality in any products in all aspects of the software development life cycle. • Conduct test planning, test design, test scripting, and manual test execution within the test life cycle. • Plan, design, and author effective test cases. • Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers. • Provide system developers with clear and concise written documentation and problem description when encountered. • Install, maintain and use software testing tools. • Monitor program performance via logging tools and user experience analysis tools to ensure user satisfaction and efficiency of operation. • Consistently follow and support documented processes and procedures to ensure a unified and effective testing approach. • Troubleshoot, document, and assist in root-cause analysis. • Leverage available data to identify or predict issues via SQL, POSTGRES, or other data querying and analysis languages and tools. Requirements: • At least 3-4 years of software development, testing, and/or technical support/troubleshooting/research & analysis experience. • Knowledge of automated testing techniques. Preferably 2+ years of experience with UI, API and Backend testing automation. • Must have excellent communications skills (verbal and written) and be detail oriented. • Must have excellent time management skills, be able to multi-task, and have exceptional organizational skills. • Must have a strong interest in technology and its advancement and be able to translate technical terms and processes to the appropriate audience. • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile Development, and SCRUM principles. • Must be able to work independently, take initiatives with projects, and be self-motivated. • Ability to think Abstract – go outside the norm to find issues quickly and effectively. • Knowledge of database structures, usage and SQL. • Experience testing or working with: UX, Web Applications, Web APIs/WCF Services, Stored Procedures. • Working knowledge of Software Development principles. • Must be a U.S. citizen or have proof of U.S. employment authorization for this position. • Salary range: $65,000-$90,000 annually Preferred Skills: • Experience using Azure DevOps, SQL, and C#.
