About the Role: Leading Forecasting Excellence at Amazon As our Senior Manager of Forecasting, you will be responsible for developing and delivering accurate contact forecasts that inform our global capacity planning solutions for the Customer Service (CS) network. This high-impact role requires a strong analytical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You'll lead a team of analysts and managers across multiple countries, ensuring low error contact forecasts that drive service level delivery and directly impact the bottom line of our business. Key Responsibilities: Driving Forecasting Excellence Develop and manage short-term and long-term contact forecasts using various forecasting techniques across multiple Amazon markets. Lead a team of analysts and managers spread across multiple countries, ensuring their performance and growth. Analyze various sources of data, standardize forecasting activities, and drive process improvements. Collaborate with senior CS leadership to keep them updated on forecast variance drivers and participate in strategic long-term planning initiatives. Manage tight deadlines, prioritize workloads, and drive results in a dynamic environment. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders across the organization. Essential Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in forecasting/planning, with a proven track record of success. Experience managing a team of analytical professionals, including hiring, development, and performance management. Proficiency in SQL, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools. Excellent communication skills to share findings in an understandable and actionable manner. The ability to lead successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Adding an Extra Layer of Expertise While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: An MBA or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other business/analytical disciplines, with 10+ years of related work experience. Experience in forecasting, time-series, and multivariate regression. A combination of technical skills and business savvy to interface with all levels and disciplines across the organization. A proven track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
