The Transportation Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments is seeking an individual to assume a leadership role on the Land-Use and Mobility Options team, specifically within the area of Regional Transit Coordination and Mobility Management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to participate and discuss public transportation projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area with internal staff, transportation planners, public and private transportation providers, local governments, communities, and other stakeholders. The official title for the individual in this position will be Senior Transportation Planner. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Developing traditional and innovative transit service delivery in a multimodal environment across a multi-county region • Monitoring and coordinating project activities, including budget expenditures • Documenting project progress and ensuring accurate and timely completion • Handling special assignments outside of daily tasks • Coordinating and reviewing consultant contracts, deliverables, materials, and monthly invoices • Participating in the collection and analysis of data • Designing and implementing reliable technical tools for project and data management, which may include assisting with assessments, safety performance measures, and setting regional targets • Supporting various committees, public outreach, and events • Reviewing local government and regional plans and projects to develop transit planning recommendations • Organizing workshops and training • Researching, analyzing and interpreting Federal, State and local regulations pertaining to transportation planning and funding • Preparing and reviewing memorandums, letters, documentation, articles, executive summaries and technical reports • Supervising staff Apply tot his job
