We offer an ecosystem where you can grow both your individual contribution and strategic thinking.The PositionAs a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role having complete ownership in the design, development, and implementation of a robust and scalable backend & infrastructure used by our mobile clients, but also in supporting the development of our second brain. You will make a significant impact on shaping the services and features that will bring our product to life and will be used by millions.What You'll DoWrite simple, high quality code that can easily be understood and leveraged by others Lead full life cycle design & implementation of product requirements, which includes task break-down, delivering, testing, and maintenance Collaborate closely with the product and the rest of the engineering team to transform product and feature specifications into a reality (we ship on a daily basis).Example of Desirable Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceYou have strong knowledge, solid understanding, and interest in the following areas: Minimum 5 years professional experience in a backend language (preferably Golang). Interest in Rust is a plus. Programming, architecture, database design, and operations skills Scaling a distributed system & the corresponding constraints and trade-offs of operating at scale Familiarity designing event-driven architected backend (message queues, event streaming)Asynchronous processing, concurrency, parallelism Solid grasp of how gRPC, HTTP, TCP, UDP work ○ Strong believer of CI/CD (Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS Fargate) Observability tools, monitoring, alerting (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus) You’re a self-starter who can quickly roll out quality code and build out simple systems You have experience working in a fast paced startup environment You are are excited by the prospect of working on an AI product You’re humble and biased to action, with a “no task is too small” mindset You are able to adapt and thrive with an early stage team while navigating the unknown You think like an owner and can prioritize what’s best for the company You like to keep things simple and not get too caught up in the weeds You like to be challenged and see this role as a growth opportunity Being nice matters to you, and you’re a self-proclaimed championYou have Advanced english skills.
