[Remote] Senior Software Engineer - GCP Platform Developer

The Senior Software Engineer - GCP Platform Developer will design and implement scalable cloud systems, ensuring a secure and performant GCP environment while collaborating with various teams to deliver innovative solutions. Responsibilities • Architect & Operate GCP Infrastructure: Design, implement, and scale secure, resilient systems using GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, VPC networking, and IAM • Automate & Optimize Cloud Operations: Build CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and Terraform to accelerate deployments and enforce reliability best practices • Enable Data-Driven Systems: Develop and manage data pipelines leveraging BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub for real-time and batch processing • Monitor, Secure, and Improve: Continuously optimize for performance, cost, and uptime using Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Stackdriver, while maintaining compliance and access control hygiene • Collaborate & Support: Partner with engineering and data science teams to enable new workloads and streamline cloud resource provisioning • (Bonus) AI/ML Enablement: Support AI workloads using Vertex AI or related frameworks—experience with ML pipelines, LangChain, or generative AI is a plus but not required Skills • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Engineering, or related field • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and managing systems on Google Cloud Platform • Expertise in GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and IAM • Strong Python, SQL, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) skills • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) • Solid understanding of networking, monitoring, and security principles in cloud environments • A mindset focused on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement • Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Data Engineer Benefits • Equity: Role-based equity package • Token Rewards: Potential based on contribution and compliance clearance • Salary: Equity-first; salary unlocks via company revenue milestones Company Overview • Anime Universe is a technology company focused on building proprietary social entertainment products and technologies for manga, anime, cosplay, and gaming.
