The Outside Sales Representative will facilitate customer interactions, seek growth opportunities, and manage business relationships while representing Halperns' products and services. Responsibilities Manage customer orders Acquire new customers Develop and maintain customer relationships Manage customer accounts receivables within guidelines Effective execution of the Selling Cycle Develop negotiations strategy Develop pricing strategies Leverage resources to increase growth Deliver effective presentations Conduct customer business reviews Maintain knowledge of industry through industry magazines and local culinary organizations Demonstrate and deliver understanding of Foodservice Industry and operations Understand areas of customer focus, including Sales Building, Staffing, Profitability, and Compliance Demonstrate effective sampling Explain key features and benefits of Halperns’ products Understand and leverage advantages of Halperns’ branded products Explain Value Added concepts to customers Performs other duties as assigned Skills Customer focus with comprehensive communication skills and the ability to express self verbally Strategic thinker, inquisitive, innovative, and creative in order to build relationships, network, link resources and apply business practices Works effectively in teams and displays integrity and honesty to participate and contribute to branch team efforts Goal driven with good organizational and administration skills in order to self-manage and develop discipline Flexible and coachable Ability to meet and exceed sales performance goals and execute good time and territory management Ability to adapt to frequent changes in program function or new applications Knowledge of the Foodservice Industry and operations Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships Ability to manage customer accounts receivables within guidelines Effective execution of the Selling Cycle Ability to develop negotiations and pricing strategies Ability to leverage resources to increase growth Ability to deliver effective presentations Ability to conduct customer business reviews Ability to explain key features and benefits of Halperns' products Ability to understand and leverage advantages of Halperns' branded products Ability to explain Value Added concepts to customers Benefits Medical, Prescription Drug, EFAP Benefits after 30 days of employment Dental, vision and other voluntary plans Pre-Tax Saving Accounts Profit Sharing Family culture and career advancement opportunities Company Overview Gordon Food Service are food service operations such as restaurants like schools, universities, and hospitals.
