This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and drive the success of a diverse portfolio of ophthalmic lane equipment, including chairs, stands, instrument tables, and stools. The Product Manager will oversee the full product lifecycle, from strategic planning and commercialization to customer experience and market analysis. This position combines technical expertise with strong business acumen, requiring close collaboration with manufacturers, sales teams, and internal departments. You will shape product roadmaps, manage cross-functional projects, and ensure that customers have the right tools and information to select and purchase products confidently. The role involves both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with an emphasis on optimizing profitability, product visibility, and operational efficiency. Accountabilities: The Product Manager will be responsible for: Developing and executing annual marketing plans to drive product line success. Performing ongoing market, pricing, and competitive analyses to inform strategy. Leading the product roadmap, including new product launches, enhancements, and end-of-life decisions. Managing commercialization plans for new products and features in the portfolio. Collaborating with manufacturers to ensure product features meet commercialization requirements. Gathering and incorporating customer feedback to enhance products and overall satisfaction. Creating effective sales tools, clinical marketing materials, and training content for internal and external teams. Supporting trade show demonstrations, product launches, and other promotional activities. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, attending conferences, and networking with key customers. Requirements Candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills: BA/BS degree required; advanced degree a plus. 3+ years of experience in the medical industry, eye care, or a related field with demonstrated business success. Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage risk and solve business challenges. Experience managing cross-functional teams and large, complex projects. Excellent attention to detail and technical understanding of product portfolios. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with executives, sales personnel, manufacturers, and customers. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% overnight, including weekends. Must reside within 1-hour driving distance of Berlin, NJ, to meet onsite with manufacturers and warehouse teams.
