Performance Marketing Project Manager Application Deadline: 23 January 2026 Department: Client Strategy Employment Type: Full Time Location: Remote Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 / year Description The Performance Marketing Project Manager supports Mad Fish Digital’s growing client portfolio, managing paid media, SEO, and other performance marketing projects. This role blends strong project management leadership with a deep understanding of digital marketing channels & strategy. You will ensure high-volume, complex, and fast-moving workstreams are delivered efficiently, on time, within scope, and with exceptional quality. You will work closely with paid media strategists, SEO strategists, client strategists, creative talent, analytics resources, and client points of contacts to keep projects flowing, remove blockers, ensure clarity, and help the team deliver marketing results with lasting impact. About You • You have deep knowledge of SEO and paid media strategies • You are highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented • You are a confident decision-maker who navigates ambiguity, proposes solutions, and drives the team forward without hesitation • You are a strong communicator and collaborator who brings people together with your work • You can translate marketing concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders • You excel at managing client relationships and internal cross-functional teams • You are able to manage high-volume workflows • You thrive in fast paced, dynamic environments, deftly coordinating internal and external teams towards deliverable completion • You have a strong QA mindset and push for elevated work quality Additional Notes • At this time, Mad Fish Digital is only able to offer employment to those residing within the United States. • Please note that meetings that are critical to this role can take place between 7:00am PT - 3:00pm PT (10:00am ET - 6:00pm ET equivalent hours) Key Responsibilities Project & Workflow Management • Serve as the central project manager for enterprise-level client accounts delivering paid media, SEO, and other performance marketing strategies • Translate client requests into clear deliverables, tasks, and timelines • Own Asana task creation, workflow setup, and resourcing alignment • Maintain project schedules, task dependencies, and manage multiple simultaneous workstreams • Identify risks and remove blockers proactively and develop mitigation strategies Quality Assurance & Project Delivery • Oversee high-volume work production • Enforce our QA/QC process • Support seamless handoffs between teams • Review deliverables and provide feedback to producer teams to ensure client requests are met and work is delivered to specification Communication & Collaboration • Serve as a primary point of contact for client communication regarding project deliverables, project status, approvals, and timelines • Partner with Digital Client Strategists to ensure we are delivering value and positive impact for our clients and their brands • Proactively communicate project status and blockers to internal and external stakeholders. Act as a decisive leader who confidently makes decisions amid ambiguity, brings solutions, and drives the team forward to resolution • Facilitate internal meetings, production check-ins, and cross-functional planning sessions • Collaborate with creative, media, content, SEO, and analytics teams to successfully fulfill client scopes of work and deliver the best experience for the client. • Build strong client relationships through responsive and transparent communication Process Management & Continuous Improvement • Support unified cross-agency processes and project management standards • Develop and refine workflows and documentation as team and clients evolve • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scale project management operations Qualifications • 5 - 7 years of project management experience • Experience collaborating with SEO and paid media teams and comfort speaking their technical language • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of stakeholders • Strong documentation and organizational skills • Client-facing experience managing stakeholder relationships and communications across global teams • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences • Familiarity with paid media and SEO strategies • Google Ads, Meta, Bing Ads, LinkedIn, and programmatic platform knowledge is a plus • Asana experience preferred • Commitment to equity, collaboration, and continuous improvement Benefits & Perks Mad Fish offers a fully remote work environment, competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package and 401(k) contributions, unlimited PTO (we mean it – our employees take 20+ days per year, no questions asked), family leave, and a remote work or health & wellness monthly reimbursement.
