Partnerships Director for event sponsors (Commission per deal)

Overview We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Director of Event Sponsorships to secure sponsorships for our multi-state events. This role is exclusively focused on identifying potential sponsors, pitching event opportunities, and closing paid sponsorship agreements. The ideal contractor has strong sales instincts, an established network, and an ability to confidently communicate value—no matter where they are located. This is a commission-only, remote, flexible opportunity. You choose your hours, your outreach methods, and your strategy. You earn a percentage of every sponsor you secure who completes payment. Your work directly fuels event growth, visibility, and impact. Key Responsibilities • Identify, research, and source potential sponsors for upcoming events across all markets. • Proactively reach out to companies, brands, agencies, and organizations that align with event audiences. • Pitch sponsorship packages, present event value, and negotiate commitments. • Close deals by guiding sponsors through the payment process using our secure payment links. • Maintain accurate tracking of outreach, conversations, responses, and commitments. • Build and nurture ongoing relationships with sponsors for recurring partnerships. • Collaborate with the event team to understand upcoming event needs, audience demographics, and sponsorship tiers. • Represent the event brand in a professional, compelling, and value-driven manner. • Ensure timely follow-up with all prospects to maximize sponsor conversion. • Deliver weekly updates on outreach status, active leads, and closed deals (flexible, independent format). Qualifications • Proven experience in sponsorship sales, business development, fundraising, or event partnerships. • Strong ability to pitch, negotiate, and close deals with decision-makers. • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently without supervision. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • Access to your own communication tools (email, phone, CRM or spreadsheet system). • Familiarity with digital outreach tools (email marketing, social platforms, LinkedIn) is a plus. • Understanding of event marketing, audience engagement, and brand placement strategies preferred. • Ability to manage multiple lead pipelines and follow-up efficiently. • Comfortable working under a commission-only compensation structure. Compensation • Commission-only (no hourly requirement, no fixed schedule). • Earn a percentage of every sponsor you secure who signs and completes payment through our designated links. • Unlimited earning potential based on performance.
