About the position The Merchandise Planner for .com at Sephora is responsible for managing brand planning, forecasting, and inventory allocation to ensure stock targets are met. This role involves collaborating with various teams to optimize inventory levels and drive business growth, while also analyzing sales data and developing strategies for new brand launches. Responsibilities • Manage Brand Planning for pre-season and in-season timeframes to meet in-stock targets. • Own accurate monthly in-season Open to Buy (OTB) sales, gross margin percentage, receipt, and inventory adjustment projections. • Reconcile OTB Sales and Receipt projections with Replenishment/Demand Planning system forecasts. • Create pre-season Brand Budget Plans in partnership with Inventory Directors, Merchants, and Vendors. • Develop new brand strategies, projected sales, inventory needs by SKU, and order flow setups for launch timeframes. • Partner with Demand Planning on forecast alignment and strategy. • Guide Merchandise Planning Assistants to prioritize newness and important orders, and communicate delays in key launches. • Analyze and validate sales and inventory needs for key initiatives, animations, and promotions. • Conduct hindsight analysis on newness and key initiatives on a seasonal basis. • Develop liquidation strategies for exit brands/collections or overstock. Requirements • 2-5 years of Supply Chain Planning experience. • Excellent technical skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word. • Ability to contribute new ideas and find solutions to business challenges in merchandising, operations, and finance. • Proven ability to interpret and synthesize data into intelligent business decisions. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and task management skills. • Clear and concise written, verbal, and presentation skills. • Good negotiation skills. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
