DCI Donor Services is seeking a Donor Eligibility Associate / Medical Record Reviewer to ! This position will perform a medical record review and ensure quality assurance for potential tissue donors. The Donor Eligibility Associate will work closely with Medical Directors and hospital personnel to receive, compile and prepare written summaries for tissue release. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has previous experience with medical terminology! DCI Donor Services operates three organ procurement/tissue recovery organizations: New Mexico Donor Services, Sierra Donor Services, and Tennessee Donor Services. We also maximize the gift of life through the DCI Donor Services Tissue Bank and Sierra Donor Services Eye Bank. With the help of our employee-led strategy team, we will ensure that all communities feel welcome and safe with us because we are a model for fairness, belonging, and forward thinking. This is a remote position Key responsibilities this position will perform include: • Receives, compiles, and prepares the donor record for eligibility review and Medical Director signoff of donor records. • Meets with the Medical Director(s) to review and answer questions pertaining to the information and documentation within the donor record. • Participates in required quality training and educational growth to ensure staff is competent, compliant, and trained in quality related tasks with all regulatory and accreditation entities and internal DCIDS standards. • Enters donor information (e.g. serology results) in computerized record systems. • Answers donor recovery screening questions, on an on-call basis, as needed. • Utilizes quality management system in electronic system including, but not limited to, Q-Pulse, and PolicyTech. • Acts as a role model for DCIDS and the DCIDS Quality Departments by supporting, reinforcing, and exhibiting behaviors consistent with the DCIDS core values; selfless, hardworking, passionate, and dependable. • Performs final archive for all donor records. • Performs other related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes: • Ability to communicate internally and externally to diverse audiences, with knowledge, tact, courtesy, and superior attention to detail. Education and Experience • High School Diploma or Equivalent - Bachelor's Degree preferred. • Two (2) years of healthcare experience.
