Position: Weekend Translation Project Coordinator Part-time: Friday - Sunday Mendoza Group, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our language services team. Responsibilities: The position of the Translation Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the completion of assigned language projects. The position requires someone who is highly organized, detail oriented, committed, deadline-driven, self-motivated and possesses strong technical and communication skills. This person must be able to execute the following duties with minimal supervision: · Manage and track workflow of multiple translation projects throughout the lifecycle of the project from start to finish. · Coordinate all phases of a project and efficiently monitor timelines and control project status. · Perform quality checks at various stages of the process to ensure accuracy. · Engage with DTP regarding recommended edits to document as per client/project requirements. · Meet agreed productivity expectations with 24-hour turnaround timelines and performance standards. · Manage project finances, including budgeting and cost reconciliations. · Establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients and company translators. · Learn and adhere to Mendoza Group specific preferences, procedures and standards. · Take responsibility for personal learning and training needs to master the company services, client requirements, new technologies and effectively apply. · Performs other tasks as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Required · High school diploma or equivalent · Prior experience in Translation, Linguistics, or related field · Prior experience in healthcare a plus · Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and quality · In depth knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat · Effective written and verbal communication skills in English · Fluent in English and familiarity with other languages a plus · Excellent proficiency in general computer applications · Must possess a strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn new things · Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment · Ability to work under tight deadlines · Commitment to a high level of service · Be able to work independently as well as in a team · Experience working with multilingual fonts and documents · Knowledge of CAT tools, especially SDL Trados, and familiarity with translation workflows. · Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs such as InDesign and Photoshop are a plus. Job Type: - Part-time – 20 hours per week. Weekends (9am to 5pm EST or CT); Friday (1pm-5pm EST) - Work location: Fully remote. Must reside in Eastern or Central time zones.
