Role Overview
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on senior finance leader to partner directly with business and functional executives to drive performance, profitability, and smart investment decisions. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, translating enterprise strategy into clear financial and operational plans that fuel growth, improve margins, and optimize resources.
You will lead Operational Finance and Business Analysis teams, delivering forward-looking insights, strong forecasting, and data-driven decision support. This role plays a key part in embedding financial discipline, transparency, and accountability across the organization while enabling teams to move quickly and make informed decisions.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Business Partnership
- Serve as the primary finance partner to business unit and functional leaders, shaping strategy and translating goals into actionable financial and operational plans.
- Provide insights that inform pricing, customer acquisition and retention, product strategy, and go-to-market decisions.
- Support decision-making with scenario modeling, forecasting, and real-time analysis.
- Establish financial guardrails that balance growth, profitability, and long-term value creation.
Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across business units in alignment with corporate timelines.
- Build driver-based models that improve forecast accuracy and visibility into key performance indicators.
- Own operational performance reporting and monthly business reviews with clear insights, accountability, and action plans.
- Conduct variance and trend analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and root causes, and recommend solutions.
Operational & Financial Excellence
- Drive gross margin and contribution margin improvement initiatives across the business.
- Analyze unit economics, productivity metrics, and cost drivers to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Evaluate ROI on investments, programs, and strategic initiatives to ensure disciplined capital allocation.
- Guide headcount planning, workforce productivity analysis, and operational investment prioritization.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and lead high-performing Operational Finance and Business Analysis teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop finance talent with strong business acumen, storytelling ability, and executive communication skills.
- Create strong operating rhythms between finance and cross-functional teams to support execution.
Data, Analytics & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Oversee the delivery of actionable analytics and insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Partner with Technology and Product teams to enhance reporting automation, dashboards, and data visualization.
- Ensure alignment across Business Analysis, Operational FP&A, Corporate FP&A, and Accounting to maintain a single source of financial truth.
- Support Sales, Revenue Operations, and functional leaders with insights that drive performance and align incentives with financial goals.
What You Bring
Experience
- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant operational finance or business unit FP&A leadership.
- Experience in high-growth, complex, and/or private equity-backed environments.
- Proven success partnering with senior executives to drive accountability and business performance.
- Strong background in financial planning systems and tools (e.g., Adaptive, Hyperion, Anaplan, or similar).
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Education
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience and/or CPA/CFA credentials considered in lieu of advanced degree.
