We are looking for an experienced US-based business lawyer (or a lawyer with deep expertise in United States business law) to support the legal setup and ongoing compliance of a new digital education and services business.
This is a long-term opportunity for the right person.
Scope of Work
We need legal support across the following areas:
• Registering a US LLC (state selection guidance included)
• Advising on ownership structure, operating agreements, and compliance
• Trademark search and trademark registration (USPTO)
• General legal guidance for a digital / online education business
• Advising on contracts, terms & conditions, privacy policy, and disclaimers
• Ensuring the business is structured correctly from a risk and compliance perspective
• Guidance around US banking setup (we understand you may not directly set this up, but advice/referrals are appreciated)
Requirements
• Strong experience with US business law
• Proven experience forming LLCs in the United States
• Experience with trademark registration (USPTO)
• Familiarity with online businesses, digital products, or education platforms
• Clear communicator who can explain legal concepts simply
• Preferably US-based, but open to international lawyers with deep US expertise
